RESIDENTIAL YARD WASTE COLLECTION AND RECYCLING
Be Green – Recycle your YARD WASTE too. We collect and recycle leaves, brush, twigs, branches and weeds. Bundle it or bag it and the Borough Public Works Department will pick it up and recycle it. We have a wood chipper for those branches you need gone. Call the Borough Office and schedule a pick up today. We pick up year round – weather permitting. See the printable flyer for more information.
Weekly Sweeping Schedule According to Street.
Please double check all the signs on your street. This is only a reference guide. We have followed this schedule since 2016 – has not changed.
We sweep rain or shine from the first full week in April until the end of the first full week in October.
The Borough Administration Office is only responsible for taking payments on your tickets. Tickets must be paid within 30 days to avoid further fees and/or court costs.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Living in Ambridge during winter/snow months
Dear Residents of Ambridge:
During these last few weeks of nice weather – we have to think about snow and ice. We here at the Borough ask that you are more considerate when parking your vehicles so that our Public Works trucks can make the passes throughout our streets without incident.
- Please park as close to the curb as you can.
- Please turn your wheels straight or towards the curb.
- Please do not leave either your front end or back end of your vehicle sticking out into the street when parked.
- Please pay attention to the “No Parking This Side” signs. Vehicles parked on the sides that are marked not parking will get a citation and possibly towed.
- Please do not park on yellow lines or close to corners.
We realize parking here in the Borough is at a premium, however, if we all follow these simple (but important) rules, we can get through the rest of this winter safely.
