AMBRIDGE BOROUGH SELECTED BY PA HUMANITIES COUNCIL TO RECEIVE HEART & SOUL COMMUNITY PLANNING ASSISTANCE-

The Pennsylvania Humanities Council (PHC) has partnered with the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED), the Beaver County Planning Commission, and the Orton Family Foundation to support the towns of Ambridge, Beaver Falls, and Rochester along their path to becoming stronger, more vibrant communities using Community Heart & Soul®, a humanities-based approach to community and economic development.

The initial project goals for Ambridge include:

1) Revisit the existing community plan and make a new vision for the future

2) Celebrate civic pride

3) Bring new people into local processes and programs

4) Increase diversity in leadership positions

The Heart and Soul process will be a two year effort here in Ambridge with work to start this Spring.
